GOODHUE COUNTY FAIR LOGO CONTEST

In 2011, the Goodhue County Fair will celebrate 150 years.  The Fair Board would like a logo to use on promotional materials for this significant event.  Fairgoers and artists are invited to participate in developing this logo.

Designs should be on 8 ½” x 11” paper.  Please include your name, address, phone number and age on the back of your entry.

The Fair Board reserves the right to select the logo that will be used.  The artist whose design is chosen will receive an honorarium of $50.00.

Bring your entries to the fair office on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

GOODHUE COUNTY FAIR 150TH ANNIVERSARY COOKBOOK

A cookbook is being created to celebrate 150 years of competition in the Culinary Department at the Goodhue County Fair.  The cookbook will be available at the 2011 fair.

If you have a recipe to submit, please share the story behind it.  (For example, my Grandmother won Grand Champion with this recipe in 1945 or this is the recipe that won the Kids Chocolate Baking contest in 2003.)  We would also be interested in photos related to the culinary department.

Please include your name, address and phone number when submitting a recipe.  The recipes may be submitted via email to gcfair@hcinet.net or you may bring them to the Culinary Department on entry day (Tuesday, August 10th) or drop them off at the office during fair week.
